Good morning. Some of you will know me as one of the last members of the old guard of the UK. Others will have no idea who I am. In this article, I am going to present my plan for the United Kingdom in the coming few days, weeks and hopefully months. For those that do not want to read my entire article, my Conclusion at the end summarises my plan for the UK.
My Team
A President is only as good as the team around him, which is why I have put together the strongest team I can. I have worked as a minister and President in many Governments, and I can honestly say that the team I have put together for this server is one of the best teams I have worked in.
I have known
The newest member of the team, I was struck by his passion when ensuring the correct person is chosen as President. After chatting with him, he clearly wants what is best for the UK, and that means he is welcome onto my team. The knowledge of the game he will gain in this position, means I have no doubt I am looking at a future President. (You heard it here first).
I have been CP at least 5 times on different servers, and almost always in the UK. Not only this, but I have been a Government Minister in nearly 50 Governments, and served under 10 different Presidents (that I can recall). This has meant I have a good grasp of knowledge of the game. Having been in Government for the start of the previous Refugia server, I know how all it takes is one mistake to set a country back for several Presidential terms. I will not repeat the same mistakes that my kin have in previous servers.
Finance
We will fix our exchange rate at 1GBP = 0.05G by selling a large quantity of GBP at this level whilst buying up any currency posted below this amount. At the same time, we will sell gold on the MM at a rate of 1G=21GBP. By fixing the exchange rate we will increase the number of products being sold on our market because people will know that they will be able to exchange their local currency for gold, this will give non-MU members of the country access to cheaper supplies than they would otherwise be able to buy. The increase in selling on our market will also increase revenues for the government in the form of increased VAT and Import tax receipts.
As with every other country in Harmonia we will increase our income tax to 50% so that our government is properly funded for our wars. VAT will be set at 3% across the board and Import tax at 5% on raw materials and 3% on products.
In the future, we will aim to have org run companies that will provide high wages which will act as a pseudo minimum wage.
Defence
From the moment countries gain their Presidents, the UK is going to be ravaged by war. With two declarations of war expected within hours of this function being available, we need to be ready. Therefore, my team have been spending their own money in setting up a commune system, with some generation donations from other members of the UK. The UK will be giving supplies to all UK citizens to fight against our enemy from the moment I take office. In return, we ask for a voluntary donation of 1 gold for every Battle Hero medal that you get. My private MU will be giving out supplies when the UK does not have battles, including for leagues and other tournaments. This is for people that work in the companies within the MU.
Transparency
My team are committed to ensuring that everyone can see what this Government is doing. My Press Secretary will be holding press briefings every Monday, Thursday and Sunday, as well as making special announcements where needed. This will include up to date information on our finances where possible.
Weekly Congress Meetings will be chaired by myself, the Secretary of State for Home Affairs, or an appointed member from Congress. I will also be making a State of the Nation Address within days of taking office. This will allow me to give you all a fuller update of my plans for our great country.
Citizen Engagement
I will appoint a Minister for Culture with the sole task of citizen engagement. It is vital that all members of the UK continue to be interested in the game, and have an avenue to take part. We will be releasing weekly games with small cash prizes, as well as prizes for those UK citizens who are dedicated and hit the most for the UK in battles.
Conclusion
I believe me and my team are the best people to lead the county into its first chapter. Our plan of a booming economy, a functional commune and a transparent Government with high citizen participation means when the impeachment law is proposed at midnight, I urge you to vote yes, so that I can be elected President to start this country in the right way.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
